Still Face Experiment: Dr Edward Tronick

The attachment which infants develop with their primary caregiver is key in shaping their psychological and emotional development. It literally shapes and lays down the neural pathways for brain development and function.

The Still Face Experiment is a power demonstration of the factors which affect the quality of bond between babies and their primary care givers. These include the tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures, postures and tactile interactions.
