The Munro Report on Child Protection
Finalised in 2011, the Munro report set out proposals to reform the children protection system to enable a better service for children, young people and families.
Several years later, it's interesting to see what recommendations different councils have taken on. Another consideration to be given is the timing of the report, finished in 2011, this was during the earlier part of the austerity cuts commences in 2008 and how this curtailed council's ability to invest in their services.
The full report is 178 pages long with a young persons guide available at 23 pages long. The children and young persons guide has a list of the full reports recommendations at it's conclusion which can be used as a quick reference for adults.
