What Survival looks like...in school
This is a guide for teachers and staff working in an education setting. It explores survival behaviours of children who have experienced trauma and what this looks likes in school.
Parents and carers of children who have experienced trauma will also find this resource useful in understanding behaviour and how to respond to it in a trauma sensitive manner. This enables parents and carers to better advocate for their children in a school setting.
The survival mode responses it includes are freeze, flight, fight and submit.
