This set of 52 "Kids Need" cards are parenting cards which help parents, carers and families understand children's needs and wants and how to respond to these.
The cards are designed to be flexible and adaptable and can be used to encourage general discussions, as a therapeutic tool or as an aid when assessing parenting skills.
Each card displays a need or want, for example, 'lots of hugs', 'to make mistakes' and 'to be criticized'. There are three header cards, 'Kids Need', 'Kids Sometimes Need' and 'Kids Don't Need' and people place each want and need under the heading they feel it fits under.
